Don’t be ashamed of you or your child’s ADHD

Posted on: September 19th, 2016 by Neurohealth Associates

There is no need to feel awkward about your ADHD or your loved ones’. It is more common than you think. In fact, Olympian Simon Biles recently said, “I have ADHD, and I have taken medicine for it since I was a kid…” after computer hackers revealed she had tested positive for methylphenidate (Ritalin). She went on, “Having ADHD, and taking medicine for it, is nothing to be ashamed of [and] nothing that I’m afraid to let people know.”

In case you were wondering she was given a pass by the Olympic Committee since it was a legitimate use of the drug. She then went on to win 4 Gold Medals and 1 Bronze in Rio 2016!

Can you imagine though, if she had received neurofeedback for her ADHD instead? Many people have received treatment from neurofeedback to the point that Ritalin and other prescription ADHD drugs are able to be left behind.

Dr. Bonesteel has masterfully, compassionately, and extremely kindly helped me navigate through a history of childhood and marital abuse, a child with twenty years of struggle with life-threatening physical and emotional illness, extended family discord, and disharmony with my child with severe depression.
